The Month of March in the Southern Highlands

Some wonderful reasons to come to the Highlands in March:

Denise Sumner at Sturt Gallery till Sunday 30 March

The rhythm of the seasons inspires new work at Sturt Gallery. The paintings in this exhibition are an inner response to the outside world whether it is a still life, an interior or a landscape and the resulting body of work covers the last 4 years of Denise’s output.

All the works are inspired by the local surroundings of the artist’s home in the Southern Highlands. Mark making and calligraphy are a common thread through all the works that Denise has produced but it is the rhythm of the seasons and the changes that they bring that are the inspiration for these new works.
